SCHEDULING
EMG referrals are scheduled by your staff on prearranged dates that work well for your operation. When patients are scheduled immediately following their office visit with you, they are more likely to complete the EMG test in a timely manner. We provide the testing at your clinic and complete all documentation. We typically see one patient per hour and see 6-10 patients per day. We can often accommodate same-day referrals or do a STAT read.
TESTING
Our provider arrives at your clinic with latest generation electrodiagnostic equipment and disposable electrodes. You provide a room with an exam table and common medical consumables (e.g. gloves, alcohol wipes). We do not use technicians. Only board-certified providers collect and interpret EMG/NCS data.
REPORT
Your time is important. We provide concise, meaningful, and actionable impressions in bold on the first page. Complete and transparent EMG/NCS data is always provided. Data summaries are never auto-generated (always typed by hand). CPT and ICD-10 coding is included in the report. The EMG reports are delivered to your staff in <24 hours via encrypted email or uploaded directly to your EMR system.
WHO TO REFER
Generally, problems that involve radiating pain, weakness, or numbness in the limbs, neck, or back lasting greater than 3 weeks are appropriate for referral. Some diagnoses that may benefit from EMG/NCS referral are found here.
